Telephone Counselling for Companies

Counselling via the phone has helped many employees and charity members to feel better about themselves, their lives and their relationships. This improvement in mental and emotional health also benefits the working environment.

Globally, 12 billion working days are lost due to mental ill health. The latest figures show that 11 million people in the UK are dealing with work-related ill health which is causing high levels of anxiety, stress or depression. This has resulted in over 40 million sick days. These numbers relate to the employees who have been able to address their issue, it doesn’t account for the many more who haven’t. Telephone Counselling has played a big part in helping employees and members to get the help they really need.

How to Support your Staff and Charity Members

The statistics about poor mental health are a huge concern. Your members may be struggling with complex and debilitating issues. Your staff could already be off sick now or about to take leave. Some employees might be under a lot of stress, which affects their work, making them unproductive or very anxious.

More people are seeking counselling and taking their mental health needs seriously. Just as medical and dental appointments are a priority, so are therapy appointments. Many employers recognise this and provide employees with time off during the day for a counselling session. Allowing staff to leave a bit early or start a bit later, giving them a quiet and private space, at work, to talk on the phone with their counsellor has become quite common.

Telephone Counselling for employees and members provides a comfortable environment where clients can offload while receiving encouragement. You can help your members by funding their sessions. Employee Assistance Programs are valuable to organisations that wish to improve the quality of life of their staff.

You can ensure that you're doing your bit to support your workers. Most organisations fund an average of 6 sessions, whatever you can do to assist could really go a long way in improving their emotional health. Funding therapy also increases the chances of your employees being happier and healthier in and out of work. Let's try and make mental health and wellbeing a proactive part of company culture.
